Week 8

For this week I decided to do my blog post on Scream by Rui Azevedo. This story recounts the experience of a woman who was present in the infamous photo of Elizabeth Eckford, who after the ruling for Brown v. Board of Education, became one of the first African American students to attend a public school in Little Rock, Arkansas. The photo shows Eckford walking away from the school after being denied entry by the Arkansas National Guard while a mob of angry white protesters follow her. Within this story there aren’t any characters named and those who are have no immediate connection to Eckford. The only connection the others have is the fact that they are presented as racist and my network shows that.

The connecting node displays the fact that the characters are presented as racist.
The characters are categorized based on the story
