The short story I read was “The Martians Claim Canada” by Margaret Atwood. The story is about a group of martians who travel to Earth to watch a musical, but get lost on the way and end up in Canada instead of New York. The martians speak with a mushroom who educates them on people and gives them directions.
The connections I used are based on what and who the characters speak to and about. The network graph visualizes this as the Mushroom is the main point of contact for all the characters. The Mushroom speaks with all the martians and tells them about People, and the network diagram shows this link because all of the characters are connected to the Mushroom, which connects them to People.

Good job on your job post! I also analyzed the “Martians Claim Canada” article and did not think to draw a connection with people. It truly is interesting how everyone can read the same article and develop different methods to organize and structure the data. Great job!
