For my dataset, the Nixon recordings, I would manipulate the data by cutting it down to only 2000 recordings in the time span of the Watergate scandal. I would use the facet option to search for certain date, and then cut down any data does not fall in that range. I think for my data, I would like to randomly cut the data (which I am not sure how to do) as to not create bias in what I choose.
