(Possible) Outline

Due March 1 8, 2026 at 11:59 pm

Please note the extended deadline!

This assignment encourages you to translate your ideas into structure. It’s also an opportunity to get some feedback on the direction of your final paper. Note that this outline isn’t binding; think of it as one possible way your ideas could evolve into an argument.

Remember that an argumentative essay should state its argument clearly at the beginning. It should be divided into paragraphs, and each paragraph should play a specific, identifiable role in advancing your argument to its conclusion.

Submit an outline for your paper that contains the following:

  • A draft thesis sentence.
  • A topic sentence for each paragraph.
  • For each paragraph, use bullet points or a numbered list to identify the evidence you plan to include in each paragraph.
  • For each paragraph, use bullet points or a numbered list to indicate the main points you plan to make in the paragraph.
