The tutorials we did together just covered the basics of Tableau and Flourish. Here’s how you can expand your knowledge:
Tableau
LinkedIn Learning (free access with LAPL card) has a large suite of Tableau training videos. Tableau Essential Training and Creating Interactive Tableau Dashboards are good choices.
Tableau itself has extensive and well-documented help files.
The UCLA Library holds quite a few instructional books about Tableau, many of which are available online. Search for “tableau data visualization.”
If you have specific questions, you can schedule an appointment with a specialist at the UCLA Data Science Center. Many of their consultants are familiar with Tableau.
Flourish
Alberto Cairo is a data journalist who was involved in building Flourish. He has a YouTube playlist with instructional Flourish videos.
Flourish itself has some useful help documents. For example, this guide to creating a story is very helpful.
Andy Boyles Peterson has a good Flourish tutorial.
This guide has some useful notes and links.
