(See below for the datasets I&#8217;ve provided.)<\/p>\n<p>You can use Silk to create your website, or if you&#8217;re feeling a bit more ambitious, you can use another tool of your choice. I&#8217;ll help you the best I can, no matter what you choose, but I&#8217;ll be more familiar with some tools than with others.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements for your dataviz website:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>At least five\u00a0<strong>meaningful<\/strong> data visualizations.<\/li>\n<li>A narrative of at least 1,500 words that gives context for these visualizations.<\/li>\n<li>An annotated bibliography of at least seven peer-reviewed works related to your topic.<\/li>\n<li>An\u00a0<strong>About<\/strong> page of about 1,000 words that explains your process and discusses what you learned about museum data.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Milestones<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Feb 2:<\/strong> Choose the type of of project you&#8217;d like to do (digital story, dataviz, exhibit).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feb. 9:<\/strong> Choose the dataset you want to work with.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feb. 23:<\/strong> Submit an annotated bibliography on your topic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>March 1:<\/strong> Submit 500 words of background information on your topic, plus three research questions that you&#8217;ll explore in your visualization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>March 10:<\/strong> Submit the completed project.<\/p>\n<h3>Datasets<\/h3>\n<p>These are some datasets you might want to work with.
