As you rolled your mouse over the map, different cities and world treasures would pop up links allowing you to explore what they have to offer. Different sources that were used were variety of texts that have sub categories that makes this map more interactive than ever. Many different documents and artifacts played a key role in making this website clear to understand. Different images were used for each linked icon. 3D scan version of images were used. The processed section of this website was also very interesting. Mappa Mundi interactive website was organized and edited very precisely, but being able to see the full lay out of an overview map made it easier. Visually, this website has three different ways to explore the page. There are three different map types on the left hand side. The whole Mappa Mundi map takes over majority of the center screen area, and on the right hand side there are different options such as 3D scan, towns and cities, strange people of the world, beasts of the world, bible stories, and myths and legends. As you can see there is much more to this website than just the map. There are many opportunities to go deeper into a variety of information. The Mappa Mundi map is digitized and highly photographed geographically to give the explorer an easier mental image of where these different cities and treasures are, which makes it statistically accurate and helpful. My favorite part of this website was how it was presented. Being a visual learner, and looking at the other website that were different options, this website was one of the ones that stood out to me and made it easy to choose. One of my favorite features was the different ways to view the maps. The options were original mappa mundi, color enhanced mappa mundi, or 3D scan of mappa mundi. This made the website very searchable and each to explore into great lengths. This was a very well put together website that I learned a lot about something I had never even heard of. Mappa Mundi and the world of hidden treasures is now a lot more accessible than ever before!

https://www.themappamundi.co.uk/mappa-mundi/

For this weeks blog post I decided to explore the Mappa Mundi virtual website and see what it was all

[1

post-329","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
