The Richard Nixon dataset seems to be everywhere; there nothing but numbers and scrambled letters detailing the date of the recording and labeling certain columns– like data type– without any meaning. I think by segmenting the data into topic of conversation would prove easy using this software, making the facet feature a very unique tool that I have not come across before.<\/p>\n
The software definitely provided a much more in dept interface than excel, which is what I am primarily used to using while working with datasets. One thing that annoys me is adding prefixes like “S.S.” in our example does seem to be a tricky thing to do on excel. Openrefine has made that action very easy to perform, and because of this I am looking forward to learning more about this software.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Openrefine seems like a very intuitive tool for dataset creation and organization.
