My group was assigned the Science Fiction Convention images and our dataset includes about 6,000 images, that is a lot of information to break down and evaluate. Speaking with one of the people in my group we were able to come up with some ideas to manipulate our data to be more useful in answering our research questions. We can break down our data set by years and then select certain years to look at to lower the amount of data we are evaluating. That way we can also focus on a certain year when doing outside research on what was happening politically during that year. We can do this by using the facets and cluster/merge together the data. Another idea that we had was to create a count for names in the captions that way we can get a rough idea of how many females and males attended these conventions. I think that editing the columns in our data to look at the more important information will be key since we have so much data to look at.

Hey Bloggers, This week we were asked to use OpenRefine and clean out some data as well as a few

[1

post-1961","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
