There are over nearly 6000 photographs which were all taken by Jay Kay Klein. I would first do a basic clean up of the data including the editing of the names and getting rid of the extra whitespace. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I would then like to manipulate the data to cluster a few photos together which include the same people (as per the caption already given). I would do this by editing the facet (instruction 8) and merging the captions together into one group of photos. I would want to do this because it would enable me to easily study the gender, race and age demographic of those people and see if I can note any common trends\/patterns. This is in regards to one of our research questions: How is gender changing across subjects and time periods? As well as another question which is: How do the photos <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">represent race and how does this change across convention and time? Do the images privilege one race over others? How does this challenge, reflect, or respond to the civil rights movement of the 1960\u2019s?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One thing I would like to possibly learn how to do this is to manipulate the time of when the photos were taken so we could see the differences of photographs throughout the 1950s to 1990s era. From this we would be able to analyze our other research questions which are 1) <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Why are some topics more prominent in the earlier time periods, but diminish in the later time periods?
